Database Notes
This compilation of the database (v 1.0) was first completed 19 December 2003.
The database was last updated 26 January 2012 (v 4.2.147).
The database includes 10582 games.
All NFL (and AFL) games from the 1966 season onwards are included. All playoff games are included.
Ratings for teams that have changed city are continuous. Ratings for the Cleveland Browns (to the end of the 1995 season) and the Baltimore Ravens (1996 onwards) are continuous.
Games between the New York Giants and New York Jets played at their shared stadia are counted as neutral territory games (i.e. no home advantage applies).
Games played by the New Orleans Saints at the Alamodome in San Antonio (2005, after Hurricane Katrina) are counted as neutral territory games (i.e. no home advantage applies).
